For Students Entering 1st Grade

#1   A regular sized backpack (to carry important mail home)

#2   A change of clothes in a reusable cloth bag with your child’s name on it (in case of emergencies)

#3   A pack of fat markers with your child’s name labeled on the box

#4   A 24 pack or smaller of crayons labeled with your child’s name

#5   One pack of fat beginner pencils (no thin pencils please)

#6   1 glue stick

#7   Reusable water bottle labeled with your child’s name

#8   “The 2011 Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge” list (available on the school website)

#9    A block eraser

(Pencil boxes are not needed).


Physical Education – Please have appropriate sneakers.  The sneakers should have a soft rubber sole and cover the entire foot.  Students should not be wearing slip on shoes, hiking boots or roller shoes.
