Arts Alive - During the month of February, artsAlive@Kent Center School will display their photo boards detailing the programs that have been provided for the students at KCS. This informative exhibit will run from February 1st to February 27th and will be shown with several of the student paintings and drawings featured during January. 

Game Night
The PTO would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to all of those who helped out and attended Game Night. It was a big success and an event that we will bring back in the future.

February 10th - Chocolate Fest to benefit the Kent Center School Scholarship Fund
Come visit the KCS Cafeteria on Wednesday, February 10th from 3:30-6pm and get your chocolate fix. The Kent Center School Scholarship Fund is sponsoring this event. For $5 attendees will be able to fill a plate with chocolate and valentine goodies. The Chocolate Fest committee also needs bakers!! Chocolate treats may be dropped off the day of the Chocolate Fest, please remember – that nuts and nut oils/products should not be included in any of the treats due to severe allergies in some students.   (Snow date February 11th)

February 19th – Mother/Daughter Basketball Game- Friday, February 19th the KCS Girls take on the KCS Moms in a basketball game. Come to the KCS gym and cheer them on. Game start time is 7pm.


COMING IN MARCH…………..

March 26th – Student/Faculty Basketball Game: The annual basketball game between the 8th grade and faculty will take place on Friday, March 26th in the KCS gym.

8th Grade Dinner: Preceding the student/faculty basketball game, the 8th grade will host their annual dinner. The dinner is a fundraiser to help raise money for their class trip. More details will follow.

Help Wanted- Volunteer help is still needed in the cafeteria on Mondays during lunch service. This would be a rotating schedule that would be for every other Monday. If you are interested or would like more details please contact Candie at 860-927-4108 or email kcspto@charter.net.

School Cancellation/Early Dismissal Reminder: In the event of a school cancellation, delay or early dismissal, parents may call 927-3537 to hear an automated message, or go online to www.region1schools.org for information. If you have a child in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, please make sure that we have a phone number where you can be reached mid-morning in the event of an early dismissal. Also please note that school delays are now 90 minutes, a change from last year.

Box Tops for Education: Please continue to send in all box tops you may have collected. All proceeds go to the Kent Center School Scholarship Fund.
