Fourth Grade Arts Day continues to be one of the highlights of the school year. For the ninth year in a row, fourth graders from all of the region’s elementary schools, as well as the private Town Hill School, joined together for an opportunity to experience the arts, both performance and hands-on. Hotchkiss School was once again kind enough to offer the use of their beautiful facilities. Artists from throughout the region shared their talents with students, teachers, and adult volunteers. Everyone had a wonderful day. We can’t wait ‘til next year!

“IN THEIR OWN WORDS”

I think it was excellent because it was fun and creative and I love working with my hands and clay.

I love putting music in silent movies,

I thought this was excellent because the man was very kind and we got to make the banjo with nails and stuff.

It was fun to make instruments and make up stories.

I think it’s good because it really brings out the child in me.

It’s fun to pick materials and then make pictures that pop into your mind.

I thought the puppet man was great. He was very funny. If there were a fifth grade arts day, I would want him to come back.
