On Monday, December 3, 2007, Lori Fitch, a local florist, guided fifth grade students in creating floral masterpieces.
Ms. Fitch has worked with these 5th graders once a year since they were in Kindergarten and has seen tremendous growth in their ability to make different types of floral arrangements.

This year, the students made a winter topiary.  Each student started with various flowers ranging from carnations and lilies to waxflower and holly leaves. Students clipped and snipped until the oasis was full and the flowers were arranged just so.

Some teachers even joined in the fun!

After only 50 minutes of styling, each student had a winter topiary to take home.

Thank you, Mrs. Fitch!
