During the months of September and October, lower grade students walked to town with their classes to visit one of Kent’s most valuable resources –
Kent Memorial Library.

While at the town library, students had the opportunity to listen to stories and participate in activities. Several classes began their visits with a presentation by Miss Sarah. |

This group of kindergarten students was on the edge of their seats as they listened to Miss Sarah read.

After stories, every first grade student made a leaf bookmark. |
Second grade students used library resources to identify leaves they took to the library. |

Working in teams,
third grade students completed a
scavenger hunt. |
Before heading back to school, the students enjoyed a few minutes browsing and reading. Here a kindergarten student enjoyed one-on-one time with
Miss Ellen.

Many thanks to Miss Sarah and Miss Ellen for making everyone feel welcome.
