As part of our food unit Around the Table, the kindergarten classes visited the Davis IGA.  John Grant and Marie Roze, along with a cow, a carrot, an ear of corn, and a chicken, showed us around behind the scenes at the market.

We learned where our produce comes from, how it grows, and why it has special labels. 
Did you know that PLU means
“Product Look Up?”
  
 



We even got to scan some groceries!
 


A grocery bag and an ear of corn helped show us around.

  
 

Mr. Davis gave us bags of goodies, including magnets, little pumpkins, apples, ladyfinger bananas, coloring books, and
even coupons for our parents!

We want to go shopping there soon!
