Third graders from Mrs. Makarewich and Mrs. Menniti’s classes worked with Mrs. Lori Fitch, owner of Lily’s Florist and mom of a third grader, to create beautiful centerpieces for their Thanksgiving tables.

The students were each given a pumpkin which was prepared for them by Mrs. Fitch and her helper Mrs. Cassella.

They were then given supplies of hard goods, daisies, cattails, wheat, hypericum, and more to create the beautiful arrangements.

The students watched Mrs. Fitch as she modeled the steps to make the centerpiece and then created an arrangement of their own.
