On a Monday in May, Carly and Mary from the Kent Volunteer Ambulance came to visit the Kindergarten classes.

Carly showed the children some of the equipment that she might bring to their house if someone needed the ambulance. The children enjoyed listening to their own heartbeat while she took their blood pressure. They also found out their heart rate and the level of oxygen in their body.

The children had a chance to see the ambulance. They toured all of the outer compartments and had a turn to sit inside the ambulance.

The children had a chance to try on the neck brace too!

Inside the ambulance are bears that were donated by the Girl Scouts. These bears keep children company while they are in the ambulance.
